Camp Craig Allen successfully held Inaugural
Camp Session
for Young Adults with Muscular Dystrophy!
Our
vision has always been one of a wheelchair accessible/barrier-free
camp with no age limit. It started with Craig's
dream and has been feverishly worked on since Camp
Craig Allen formed officially in 2007 as a 501c3
organization.
With
tireless volunteers, 5 years of fundraising, and
an unsteady economy, it was time to move forward
and accomplish some of our goals… at least the goal
of getting “overlooked” adults to camp.
We
just couldn’t wait any longer for millions to fall
from the sky to build our own facility. It was now,

Camp
Craig Allen now has an online support
group to gather people together with
physical disabilities. We know firsthand
just how hard it is to get out in the
community to meet others.Learn more...

Welcome
to the building of
Camp Craig Allen!!!
This
is a grassroots project started in North
Texas, dedicated to building a complete
barrier-free environment that will enable
all wheelchair users to attend a camp
program.
Camp Craig Allen will
be built with all in mind, regardless
of physical disability or age.
"Building
a Barrier-Free Center to soar above the
wheelchair ~ A place where hope lives
free!"
In order to begin building, we must
have major donations, private contributions,
corporate sponsorships, and we must hold FUNDRAISER
events to involve the entire community. These
components are vital and we need everyone’s
help.
This
site is updated frequently as we have many changes,
exciting news to share, and a lot of volunteering
opportunities for everyone, so come by often!
Be
a part of something from the ground up. Help
us build Camp Craig Allen!
