Dear Reader,
Camp Craig Allen would just like to thank all of our supporters for their hard work that made our 5th Annual BBQ Cook-off Fundraiser successful. We mean it when we say we couldn't do it without you.
In this month's newsletter you will find out more about the results of the BBQ, see some pictures of the event and learn more about how you can stay involved throughout the year.
Camp Craig Allen Thanks You!
THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our 5th Annual BBQ Cook Off benefit!
As we are still unpacking the trailers, still having donations counted, and still processing the silent auction items, we just wanted to tell you all how profoundly touched we are of the continue love and support shown to our organization.
Thank you to all the BBQ teams, because we certainly couldn't feed the thousands of people who come for BBQ without all of you. Thank you Volunteers, and all our Vendors & Sponsors of product/services that make it all come together.
Congrats to all the BBQ Competition winners of all 15 categories!
For questions about Silent Auction items, contact our Auction Coordinator directly melisaflores@campcraigallen.org
For now, we are sitting at $78,000 raised, several thousands of pounds of BBQ cooked and fed to the public, hundreds of volunteer hours given, and a lot of thankful prayers for the beautiful weather and great turn out in order to promote the advocacy and the need for Camp Craig Allen. As we have huge goals to reach before construction can begin, we have to advocate to North Texas and be a voice for the physically disabled. Our camp programs must go on and we can't do any of it without the support from each and everyone. Know that everyone makes a difference and we need you all!
We also want to send out continued prayers and thoughts to all of our Fire Dept. Teams that could not make it due to their selfless service to the Texas fires. We know you all are with us in spirit as we sure are with each and every one of you guys! Stay safe and we will see you all next year!
Even though the BBQ is over for this year, Camp Craig Allen still needs your continued, year-round support. Make sure you are signed up to receive the monthly newsletter, "like" our page on Facebook, follow our blog, join our on-line support group and receive our tweets so you can stay up-to-date with Camp Craig Allen through the year! We still need interns and volunteers so go to our website to access the related information and forms.
Go ahead and mark your calendar for September 7th-9th, 2012 for the 6th Annual BBQ Cook-off Benefit for Camp Craig Allen. It will once again be at the Bass Pro Shops in Grapevine and registration will open January 1st.
THANK YOU ALL and God Bless,
Darrell & Dawn Fournier
